Hippocrates was one of the first to identify the inseparable link between nutrition and physical activity. He realized that a healthy body needs both the right nutritional fuel and the right form of exercise in order to maintain the ideal balance. And although he did not prescribe any specific form of physical activity per se, he highly advised walking after meals. At KOIA, we take this one step further and provide guests with contemporary forms of physical and mental activity that can be suited to all levels.
For this reason, yoga, pilates and meditation classes are held at KOIA, since they all aim at better aligning body and mind. Yoga is one of the most non-impactful forms of exercise that works on two counts: breath-work that oxygenates the brain and creates a surge of internal energy, and body-work that stretches out muscles and relieves tension. Yoga, Pilates and Meditation Classes take place at our verdant, cliffside olive grove surrounded by nature which will feed your soul as you work on your inner and outer alignment.
